202,300 orthodontic treatments were carried out in the UK in 2014-15 according to the NHS website. The majority of these cases were performed on patients under the age of 18, which means they would have been eligible for valuable tooth straightening treatment on the NHS.
Here at our Manchester practice, we provide orthodontic treatment to private customers (for a fee) and NHS customers, if they are referred by their dentists. Under 18s are eligible for NHS prices, as are some adults with major alignment problems. There is no waiting list for your first appointment and we endeavour to see all NHS referrals within 9-12 months to begin treatment. We provide a first class service, regardless of whether you are referred for NHS treatment, or you want private cosmetic treatment.
In surveys carried out by recruitment websites, many bosses admit that a candidate with straighter teeth is more likely to get hired. Numerous studies have indicated that promotion is also more likely if you have a great smile and the confidence to use it. Why wouldn’t you give your child a head start in the world of work, if it’s easy and affordable to do so? They might not be happy about the idea of wearing alignment devices at the time, but believe us when we say they’ll thank you for it in the future! Braces will correct any bite problems you may have, help you eat more comfortably, give you healthier teeth and gums, as well as make your teeth and smile look more attractive.
Braces for adults and children in Manchester
We offer a range of braces, from discreet clear removable braces, to fixed metal and clear braces. The braces we provide on the NHS are fixed metal braces. They are formed of brackets bonded to your teeth and a wire running through them. During the course of your treatment, you’ll visit our orthodontists regularly to have them adjusted and continue the alignment process of your teeth. The braces will exert gentle but firm pressure onto your teeth until they are straighter and more attractive. Once the treatment is complete, your smile will be significantly more attractive and you’ll have the confidence to smile whenever you feel like doing so.
If you’d prefer a clear braces option, you can, of course, upgrade. When you book a consultation with us, we’ll run through the various options we can provide and explain the treatment processes and times of each one. If you’d like to have orthodontic teeth straightening treatment at our Manchester practice, please give our friendly reception team a call to book an appointment. We will advise you of whether or not you need to be referred by your own dentist first.
