Rosa Parks (1913-2005) helped initiate the Civil Rights movement in the united states in 1955 when she refused to give up her seat to a white man. A bus boycott was organised led by a local pastor the young Rev Dr Martin Luther King.
Also visited the Civil Rights Memorial Center also in Montgomery.
I took the pledge against hate and work for justice and tolerance.
Outside The Dexter Avenue Baptist Church where Dr King first preached his message of hope and brotherhood.
Dr Martin Luther King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964
